"Miss Ruby's specialty is the book nobody else would think to make."
The Story Behind It

It started with a monster truck.

My granddaughter wanted a monster truck coloring book for her birthday — but with a girl theme. I looked. It didn't exist. So I made one myself, in Microsoft Word, with absolutely no idea what I was doing.

It took me three weeks. I didn't know what "bleed" or margins meant. Amazon rejected it more than once before I finally got it right.

Then my grandson started learning to talk, and we kept calling Miss Ruby "Funny Pug." So I made him a book to help him read. I never thought either one would go anywhere.

Twenty-one coloring books later, someone asked: "Could you make one about my kid?" And that was it.

"Why is it called Miss Ruby's? Because she's the boss. She's also my dog. I just do what she tells me."

I didn't start a business. I started because I couldn't find what I wanted for the people I love. So I built it.

A Real Example

We took this kid. We made this book.

Jaxon loves storms more than anything. His grandfather said: "His passion for storms is his superpower." Here's what happened.

About the AI

"I've prompted pictures that looked exactly like what I asked for. And they didn't feel like anything. That's the part nobody talks about — getting AI to make an image is easy. Getting it to make an image that makes a grandmother cry when she opens the book — that took me years to figure out."

The AI is the brush. I'm still the one who knows what to paint.

Why Miss Ruby

Real books. One guy. No shortcuts.

This isn't a name-swap template operation, and it isn't a DIY tool you build yourself. Miss Ruby's books are written from scratch and published by Dabbing Pug Productions — an independent press with years of published titles.

Not a template

We don't drop your kid's face onto a story that's already been written a thousand times. Every story starts blank.

Not a DIY tool

You don't build this yourself with a generator. You talk to a person, and that person builds it.

Not a big company

It's one guy, some AI tools he's spent years learning to use well, and a small team helping bring it to life.

In Their Words

I know these are AI — but they feel like me.

"I don't ask for everything upfront because I haven't earned it yet. Half when we agree. Half when you're holding your book."

Why I do it this way

I'm not a big company. It's me, a little bit of help, and a lot of care about getting it right. That's why I get on the phone with every single person — and why you only pay half until you're actually holding the thing.
